Biography

Here's the short story of my photography journey so far. Please try not to fall asleep while reading! :)

I have been an avid photographer since the mid 90's, when I discovered photography while in college. I began working in the photographic industry both here in NZ and then in the UK and loved the experience! On returning to NZ I started Colours of Life Photography with my husband Daniel who helps out behind the scenes. That was in 2000 and since then I've photographed hundreds of weddings and portraits around NZ and created my own unique fun style of photo artistry.

We love living in Tauranga with our 3 beautiful children (hence my skills at photographing small people who won't keep still). Our custom built studio sits on a hillside with the Kaimai Ranges as the backdrop. The studio is useful, but I actually prefer photographing clients in locations special to them. I find this makes for a much more relaxed and natural photo session.

My wedding style is unobtrusive and spontaneous allowing me to capture emotions and special moments while my clients enjoy themselves. I want to treat every couple as friends who have done me the honour of allowing me to record their wedding day. As a friend I will remind you to relax and most of all have fun!
